"As a child, I was never interested in history. What came in heavy books with a lot of text and a few black-and-white pictures just didn't resonate with me. When I started creating this project, I realized how colorful and inspiring history is, and that all it needs is to be made accessible. We live in a world where knowledge exists and is accessible to everyone; all we need is the trigger to pull us into exploring."

The Man Behind the Canvas

Amit didn't just stumble upon his craft; he mastered it at the prestigious Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. What kicked off as a spur-of-the-moment project on a blank canvas has now turned into a worldwide phenomenon, captivating minds from Tokyo to Timbuktu.

"For me, Hipstory is one big roller coaster. This project, which started quite by chance, has over the years become a tool used for teaching around the world. I couldn't have imagined that my art would reach schools, parliaments, student apartments, and law offices globally. The beauty of this creation is that it connects with everyone, and anyone can adopt the piece that suits them and incorporate it into their lives."
